Our History

Our History

British Nigerian Academy, a co-educational boarding secondary school, was established in 2008 with a capacity to comfortably accommodate 1000 students without overburdening the available facilities. It was founded by Barr (Mrs.) Nnenna Millicent Ukachukwu.

British Nigerian Academy (BNA) is a premier learning institution situated on 10 hectares in the Duboyi district of Abuja’s Prince and Princess Estate. With top-notch facilities and a highly qualified staff, BNA provides a well-rounded education through a robust curriculum. The school’s ideal location within a peaceful community fosters an environment optimal for student growth and achievement.

In May 2014, the British Nigerian Academy became the first school in Abuja and Northern Nigeria to offer the International Baccalaureate curriculum. Since then, the British Nigerian Academy has been an authorized IB World School.

In a bid to expand our horizon in the 2024/2025 session, BNA has decided to include the Early years and primary section to the school. This promises to be holistic in nature with a strong academic curriculum involving both British and Nigerian curricular.

15+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

British Nigerian Academy continues to demonstrate a high level of care and has maintained a zero-tolerance policy toward bullying. Admission is open to both foreign and Nigerian students.
